The objective of the Zichron Yaakov Initiative is to create an action plan, which will express the social-economic potential of Israel. The present publication includes eight papers attempting to develop and intensify public discussion of social policy. The papers focus on two main issues: the first is poverty, its definition, conception and the way it is confronted in Israel.
The second is the Israeli labor market with an extensive discussion of the "Working Poor" phenomenon.
