The International Conference of the Israeli Association for the Study of Labor Relations 2024

On Thursday 21 November, the annual international congress of the Israel Association for the Study of Labor Relations (IIRRA), in cooperation with the International Labour Organization (ILO) and the FES, took place at the Histadrut education centre in Beit Berl.

More than 50 participants discussed the topic ‘Migrant Workers and Labour Market: Focusing on their Status in selected Countries and in Israel’. This is currently a highly relevant issue in Israel, but not only there. Representatives from academia, trade unions, the employers' association, the Ministry of Labour, the FES and various NGOs discussed the rights of foreign workers in selected sectors, such as construction, agriculture and elderly care, in plenary sessions and working groups.
