Shachar Holds a B.A (with honors) in Economics and Psychology from Tel Aviv University. During her studies, she gained research experience as a research assistant in laboratories focusing on cognitive and social psychology and neuroscience.

At the Macro Center for Political Economics, Shachar conducts research on a range of socio-economic and policy-related issues, with a particular focus on their impact on the labor market and employment relations.
